Alternative Handbook
Every year since 1976 the Murdoch Guild of Students has produced an Alternative Handbook, to provide an alternative perspective on the units offered in the University Handbook.
The A-book (as it is affectionately known) aims to give new and returning students an insight from a student perspective on what the units are really like. It provides a relatively independent forum for students to communicate their experiences of a unit, and students have traditionally used this forum to great effect, contributing highly constructive comments. The A-book gives students' assessments on the quality and relevance of unit content, the presentation of that content, the quality of academic support and assistance, the quality of feedback on student performance and the accessibility of resources.
