8Ball

8ball is a free computer program started in 2005 by the Murdoch Guild of Students. Student and Community Volunteers rebuild donated computers and give them to needy students and community members. 8ball is non-for profit and relies on donations and volunteers to survive.

Donations

If you have any computers or hardware lying around which you no longer require please consider donating them to a good cause.

Minimum Specifications

Due to storage and software issues, we do have some minimum specifications;

o Computers must be less then 6 years old

o Monitors must be 17"

All donations can be dropped of at the Murdoch Student Guild Monday-Friday, 9am to 4pm. Download a map for more specific directions.

Volunteers

The 8ball program relies on volunteers to survive. If you are interested in volunteering please contact the 8ball coordinator on swb@guild.murdoch.edu.au
Murdoch students who volunteer have their hours recorded on their developmental transcript.
